LOLZ
The things you find fossicking through a box that hasn’t been opened in 8 years…
Remember them? REMEMBER? Ok, good. More lolz…
In 1972, when the Trust was just 13 years old, the WA Local Government Journal published this list of places the Trust considered to be important to W.A’s built heritage.
Come and get us Cyclone Iggy!!
# of giant flying bush cockroaches smashed in my house with a shoe several times (those fuckers take at least 3 hits to die) since I arrived home one hour ago?
11.
ELEVEN.
It’s like a horror movie here. They are flinging themselves at the flyscreen trying to get in.
Halp?
Edit: make that THIRTEEN. Fuck.
Another photo of the lightning during the fireworks last night over the Swan River in Perth. There was so much lightning… it was like nature saying “now THIS is how you do fireworks…” Photo by Matt Titmanis.
Photo taken last night by Richard Huynh of the spectacular natural lightshow that was going on during the Australia Day Perth Skyworks. (annual fireworks show). I could see this from my house.
I can see the Perth AND Fremantle fireworks from my front porch.
Also, lightning. Woo.
We’ve gone from a nightmarish, sunny 42C, to a 14 degree drop in temperature with thunder and lightning in a couple of hours.
I no complain!
I just caught the sunset from my porch a few minutes ago.
Kill me now.
This is the forecast for Perth from tomorrow onwards. As I type it’s 38C (100F) at 5.30pm.
Surely this will break all kinds of records.
Did I mention I work from home and my house is not airconditioned?
I might die. :-(
